It is a pleasure to offer my best wishes to readers and staff of Sangat on the
occasion of the magazine’s first anniversary.
The magazine plays an important role in keeping Pakistani Australians up to date
with current events and in touch with the culture and heritage of their ancestry.
Community members are preparing to celebrate the sacrificial feast of Eid Ul Adha.
This is a special time for reflections upon the ideas of charity, kindness, forgiveness
and sacrifice, and also a time for sharing with those less fortunate.
As Minister for Multiculturalism, my priority is to maintain and build on our cohesive
and harmonious society.I congratulate Sangat for its work in bringing people together and promoting social
cohesion and harmony.
