Adobe Co-Founder Dr Warnock Passes Away at 82





Adobe (ADBE.O) Co-founder Dr John Warnock died on Saturday at the age of 82, the firm announced early on Sunday.

His cause of death was not revealed.

“It is a sad day for the Adobe community and the industry for which he has been an inspiration for decades,” said Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen in an email to workers.

“John’s brilliance and technology innovations changed the world,” said Adobe Chair and CEO Shantanu Narayen in an email to employees. “John was incredibly insightful on which technologies would delight customers as well as create business value,” he added.

Warnock and Charles Geschke co-founded Adobe in 1982. He retired as CEO in 2000 and served as chairman of the board until 2017, a post he shared with Geschke.
