Zeeshan Akbar, a 29 year-old man from Pakistan, who was stabbed multiple times to death at the Caltex service station on Bungendore Road in Queanbeyan. His Namaz e Janaza was held on Wednesday 12 April, 2017 Lakemba Mosque, Sydney at 8:30 AM. A large number of community members including friends of Zeeshan attended the Namaz who came specially from Canberra to attend this services.
Mr Abdul Majid Yousfani, Consul General of Pakistan addressed the audience on the occasion and informed that it is an established practice that the transport of human remains of the deceased is taken care by the Consulate General in Sydney and High Commission in Canberra. He advice that they do not need any financial assistance from our community for the purpose of transporting the body to Pakistan. He said that we are here to serve Pakistanis Communities who are faced with such tragedies and need financial assistance for shifting their body to their motherland. The friends and colleagues of deceased appreciated the efforts made by High Commission of Pakistan in Canberra and Consulate General Office in Sydney.
