Australia Pakistan Chamber of Commerce (APC) is an organization created to facilitate the development of business relationship amongst companies, businesses, individuals professionals and sole traders.The Chamber has established to build a strong reputation as a body that facilitates business development through a various range of developmental programs. The Chamber has developed to further support bilateral trade by providing opportunities for business people to be informed by and exposed to the ideas of successful leaders and professionals. Business relationships are developed at a personal level and the Chamber provides support for this process.
These opportunities have complemented the growth and role of the Department for International Trade, Austrade and various Pakistani government agencies. The mission of the Australia-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce is to advocate, foster and assist Chamber Members to grow their businesses through a series of programs, events, and community based partnerships. APC has signed MOU with Federation of Pakistan Chamber Of Commerce & Industries, Lahore Chamber Of Commerce & Faisalabad Chamber Of Commerce to facilitate each other to explore business between Australia & Pakistan.
Mr Muhammad Asif, President APC and his team presented a cheque for $10000 to Mr Abdul Majid Yousfani, Consul General Of Pakistan in Sydney on Tuesday 16th July , 2019.The payment will be transferred in next few days in order to start this project as early as possible. The Consul General Of Pakistan Mr Abdul Majid Yousfani appreciated the efforts of APC team for their contribution towards this noble cause. He said it is a good way to help eliminating poverty in the less fortunate Thar area where people will be benefited with this support.
APC initially collected these funds from its core members and friends during and after month of Ramadan to donate for the purpose of charity to eliminate poverty from THAR area in the province of Sindh. Thar has a highest poverty levels and main purpose of donation is to select a village from this area and provide basic facilities to make it a model village and ultimately to Australia Village. The basic purpose of this support is to create opportunity for Thar people to provide them basic facilities like water wells, green farms, school library, masjid and women empower income scheme by providing goats to 10-15 families. In this way they will be self sufficient in generating income for their families without looking in to Govt support.
Mr Muhammad Asif, President APC in his speech explained the method that how they have collected these funds and what was the purpose behind this contribution. He also advised that how these funds are going to work back in Pakistan to support these needy people. He thanked all his team who put their full efforts in collecting the funds for the great cause.
In the end he praised media presence to cover this event, especially in the week days when it is very difficult to spare valuable time. He appreciated Mr Raja Taseer, Head of Hum Watan group, Mohammed Abid, editor Sangat Magazine and Aurangzeb Baig of Urdu Point-Media Top & representative of Khabrain newspaper in Australia.
