Pakistan Consulate in Sydney & Kashmir Counsil of Australia organised an event highlighting depicting solidarity with the people of Illegally Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) who are facing unlawful occupation and gross human rights violation for the last 73 years. The event was arranged at Himalaya Restaurant Granville.
The audience was addressed by Dr. Sarfraz Ahmed ( President Kashmir Council of Australia), His Excellency High Commissioner of Pakistan in Australia Baber Amin, Honorable Consul General Muhammad Ashraf, Honorable Paul Lynch, Honorable Ms. Lee Rhinon, Mr. Shoaquett Moselmane and Honorable Philipp Rudduck.
Speeches also highlighted the indigenous freedom struggle of Kashmir’s, who wanted their legitimate right to self-determination in line with the United Nations Security Council resolutions.
On October 27, 1947, the sufferings of Kashmiri people began with the landing of Indian troops in Jammu and Kashmir which had been increased manifold after New Delhi suspended the special status of IIOJK through revoking Articles 370 and 35-A of Indian Constitution on August 5, 2019.
The event was attended by Mr Aamer Ahmed Antozai Deputy High Commissioner, Mr Sheryar Khan Consul, Brigadier Shoaib Bin Akram Defance Attachi, Mr.Muhammsd Asif President Australia Pakistan Chamber, Dr Khurram Kayani President PPBSA, Ejaz Khan Juris Australia, Dr. Aila Khan, Raja Aslam, Farhat Jaffri, Hanif Bismi, Abbas Naqvi, Iqbal Baath, etc.
