Nazish Minto a social worker of Sydney organized a Fundraising dinner for acid burn victims that was held on the 6th of June at Himalaya Restaurant Granville. The event was to create awareness and raise funds to support plastic surgeries for acid burn victims. The event was attended by more than 150 people from Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne. Among them were prominent personalities including Dr Mehreen Faruqi Member NSW Parliament, Mr. Abdul Aziz Uquaili Counsel General of Pakistan, Ms Ayesha Bux Honorary Investment Counsel for Pakistan, Mr Muhammad Asif, CEO Easylink Group & Editor In Chief, Sangat Magazine and famous actress Uzma Gilani. The funds were raised for Depilex Smile again Foundation and its CEO the legendary Ms Musarrat Misbah came from Pakistan to attend the event. She was accompanied by the queen of Pakistanis drama Ms Feryal Ali Gauhar, Ayesha Taslim and an acid burn victim Sabra whose narrative of her life events brought tears to most of the people attending the event. A famous Pakistani singer , Zia Hussain’s specially prepared a song for the event touched everyone’s heart. The Sydney guests attending the events opened their hearts and donated generously and raised handsome amount to support the noble cause..
