An extremely rare and grand opportunity to explore different types of businesses at one destination, was organized by Desi Network in Windsor Function Centre on 29th September 2019. This was an outstanding opportunity to meet and expand both, personal and business network base by meeting around 300 people in a single day with exposure to fun, entertainment and breakfast/lunch with dignitaries.
Mr Philip Ruddock, Mayor Hornsby Council graced the event as the Chief Guest of the night. The event aimed at promotion of Subcontinent Culture and Values within an integrated and connected Australian Community by providing an opportunity to expand social network for individuals, families and businesses.
Desi Network provides a platform for businesses in Australia to create events that bring communities together and inspiring the people through the stories of successful role models. Desi Network has been formed by Mr Faisal Shamsi & Praveen Jhang to utilize the facility of digital world. Their main objective is facilities businesses in Business Listings, Ticketing & Events, Food Restaurants, Job postings, Buying & Selling and real estate.
The web-based applications provide a vast opportunity to promote business and community affairs, at the same time it’s challenging to reach to the right target audience. They are Team of Desi entrepreneurs living in Australia; They want to create a vibrant digital space, which acts as a hub for Desi business, SME, entrepreneurs, restaurants and others as well the free support of Community Affairs.
Their objective is to help strengthen the Desi businesses and community in Australia or outside Australian Market by providing an integrated digital platform.
The event was attended by leading Pakistani personalities and guests from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and pther countries that include Muhammad Asif—President Australia Pakistan Chamber, Insaaf Ali Khan – President Pakistan Engineering Association Australia, Raja Taseer – CEO Humwatan Media Group, , Aurangzeb Baig of Urdu Point and Media Top – Media, Sunail Hussain, Javed Nazar, Sohail Shamsi President HDMS, Dr Khurrma Kayani President PPBSA and others.
The Chief Guest of the night, Mr. Ruddock, was welcomed and presented bouquets on His arrival to the venue. The event was followed by some entertainment and awards, which were purely based on merits and astonishing performances.
Then awards for outstanding performances were announced and accorded by his excellency under various fields which included media awards for business professionals and other community-based philanthropists, who have crossed boundaries to contribute for their respective communities and excel in their fields.
Audience clapped and appreciated all award recipients including Mr. Muhammad Asif, Editor-In-Chief of Sangat Magazine, Mr. Aurangzeb Baig of Urdu Point& Media Top, Mr. Raja Taseer – CEO, Humwatan Media Group, Mr. Zafar Hussain Editor-in-Chief of Sadaewatan, Mrs. Shafaq Jaffery , Mr. Rehan Alvi and many other winners of awards in various categories.
Mr. Faisal Shamsi in his speech took the opportunity to thank all those who whole heartedly supported and promoted the event like Humwatan Media Group, Sada-E-Watan Sydney, Sangat, Urdu Point, Pak News,BOL Radio, Humwatan Radio, and also many other people from different walks of life.
