MESSAGE FROM THE PREMIER
I am delighted to send my best wishes to readers of Sangat in celebration of the
publication’s launch, coinciding with Eid ul-Adha.
Eid ul-Adha is a major event on the Islamic calendar and is a special time to celebrate with
family and friends.
NSW enjoys a rich multicultural and multi-faith society, and the Pakistani-Australian
community has contributed to the very foundation that supports our State’s values.
Special occasions such as Eid ul-Adha strengthen our vibrant, community-orientated
lifestyle, and promote intercultural tolerance throughout the broader community.
On behalf of the NSW Government, I would like to wish all readers of Sangat who are
celebrating Eid ul-Adha a joyous occasion.
