The exhibition showcasing the work of Mr. Anjum Ayaz, world renowned artist and a recipient of Pride of performance Award was organized in Australia by Javed Nazar of Koocha-e-Saqafat.
Anjum Ayaz is a versatile artist, a sculptor , calligrapher, actor, and a theatre director. Anjum’s work has been exhibited in more than 22 countries across three continents. Anjum has visited Australia since 2007 as an invited artist and has presented at various exhibitions including Sydney’s famous sculpture by the sea exhibition.
The objective behind Ayaz’s Exhibition was to create an opportunity for attendees to acquire some of his art pieces for personal use.
The pieces on display included abstract paintings on canvas, calligraphic art and figurative sculptures. The event was attended by over 70 fans of Anjum Ayaz work from Sydney, Canberra and Central coast.
This included Pakistani drama artist Ms Uzma Gillani; the Hon Shaoquett Moselmane, former member of NSW legislative council; Mr Azam Muhammad, former Consulate General of Pakistan in Sydney, Mr Muhammad Asif (President of Australia Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Trade), Molana Nizam ul Haq Thanvi ( imam of Wyong Mosque). These distinguished guests also made small speeches about the work of Anjum Ayaz and its connections with the Pakistani community in Australia.
After the speeches the Hon Shaoquett Moselmane, Mrs. Uzma Gillani, Mr. Azam Mohammad, and Mr Muhammad Asif inaugurated the exhibition along with distinguished guests, Mr and Mrs Prof. Rahat Munir ( Head of Department and Professor Department of Accounting & Corporate Governance Macquarie University), Mr Ashraf Shad ( writer and poet ), Mr Hamid Khan ( Edhi Foundation of Australia) Mr. Nadeem Shiekh, Mr. Noor Saheb (Shoukat Khanam Australia), Prof. Asif Iqbal ( Academic Director of Southern Cross Institute ) Mr & Mrs. Mohammed Salman ( Aalim Bibi Trust), Mr Dilnasheen Mohammad & Mrs Saliha Wazirzada ( Podcast Host , Film Director), Mr Jaffery and Mrs Shafaq Jaffery ( APWA ), Mr & Mrs Hafiz Abdul Rahman , Mr. Saad Gilani and Reema Gilani , Mr and Mrs Shahid Malik, Mr. Farjad Mahmood, Mr. Bashir Malik (Wave Foundation), Mr and Mrs. Sohail Shah, Mr and Mrs Iqbal , Mrs Shagufta Alam, Mr and Mrs Mukhtar Qazi and Anjum’s family members .
The event was hosted by Dr. Syed Adnan Mohammed. It was a lovely Sunday afternoon, and everyone enjoyed the exhibition, networking and a delicious buffet lunch in a beautiful outdoor setting. The organizer also offered special thanks to Hamza Tariq Naqvi, Osama Naqvi, Ali Tariq Naqvi , Zain Naqvi , Khizar Anjum Naqvi and Mrs Hamza Tariq.
